The new Wild Swans album The Coldest Winter for a Hundred Years is now finished and being mixed for release early 2011. All the tracks have been written by founder of The Wild Swans, Paul Simpson. Featuring on the album are Paul Simpson, Les Pattinson (ex Echo and the Bunnymen), Ged Quinn (former Wild Swan), Ricky Maymi (Brian Jonestown Massacre), Mike Mooney (Spiritualized), Will Sergeant (Echo and the Bunnymen), Henry Priestman (Its Immaterial/The Christians), Candie Payne, Steve Beswick (The Heart Throbs) and Richard Turvey. A UK tour is planned for early 2011 along with festival dates, gigs in the Phillipines, Australia and the USA.
